This position is ideal for someone with a passion for offensive security concepts, Capture-the-Flag (CTF) challenges, scripting, threat research, and continuous learning within the cybersecurity domain.

  • Enjoys technical investigation and validation of security findings.
  • Automates repetitive tasks whenever possible.
  • Has a passion for cybersecurity research, CTFs, threat hunting, or offensive security concepts.
  • Continuously seeks to improve visibility and reduce organizational risk through data-driven analysis.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in continuous discovery and monitoring of internet-facing assets, including domains, IP ranges, cloud resources, web applications, APIs, and digital infrastructure.
  • Validate and investigate findings generated by External Attack Surface Management platforms and other security tools.
  • Identify unknown, unmanaged, orphaned, or shadow IT assets and support onboarding into enterprise asset management and security processes.
  • Conduct technical analysis to determine exposure severity, business impact, and likelihood of exploitation.
  • Perform manual verification of externally exposed services, misconfigurations, certificates, and publicly accessible resources.
  • Utilize OSINT and adversary-inspired reconnaissance techniques to identify potential external risks and attack surfaces.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation solutions to improve asset discovery, validation, enrichment, and reporting processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of findings, investigations, remediation activities, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with reporting and metrics related to asset coverage, remediation progress, unknown asset discovery, and exposure reduction.
  • Support incident response, threat hunting, and cyber investigations when external attack surface exposures are identified.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, attacker techniques, and internet-facing security trends.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related information technology disciplines.

Preferred Skills

Cybersecurity

  • Understanding external attack surface management concepts and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with common attacker reconnaissance techniques and publicly available intelligence gathering.
  • Knowledge of web application security concepts, OWASP Top 10 risks, and internet-facing infrastructure.
  • Understanding of vulnerability management processes and remediation workflows.

Technical Skills

  • Experience scripting with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, web technologies, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with APIs, automation frameworks, and data analysis techniques.
  • Understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, HTTP/S, IP networking, and cloud services.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, or other source control platforms.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning.
