Job Description
Extrusion Technician-1st & 3rd Shift
Educational requirements: High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years of extrusion experience.
Reports to: Manufacturing Operations Manager.
Primary responsibility: Maximize extrusion productivity on up to 3 extrusion lines.
- Essential functions of position (not limited to tasks listed):
- Troubleshoot and make appropriate adjustments to all affected equipment to produce parts that meet customer specifications and quality standards;
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Supervisor on cell work assignments to minimize downtime on extruders and ensure on-time delivery to customers;
- Work with the Extrusion Engineer and/or the Chief Technical Officer in developing new product processing conditions;
- Work with Quality Control in developing appropriate measuring methods for new products;
- All functions listed for Extruder Operators;
- All functions listed for Manufacturing Associates.
