Job Description
SUMMARY
The Fiber to the Home (F2H) Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of fiber-related services, including customer service support, maintenance/repairs, system upgrades, and new installations. This role serves as the primary liaison between residents, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of fiber services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, property owners, and caretakers regarding fiber-related inquiries, service requests, and issue resolution.
- Respond to and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring clear communication and documented outcomes.
- Track, document, and evaluate all service issues and resolutions; maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Coordinate with Comcast representatives, internal departments, and third-party contractors to schedule and execute installations, repairs, and upgrades.
- Coordinates the installation of systems to new construction, existing residences, and marina/boats.
- Coordinates the repair and maintenance of fiber and wireless infrastructure, including in homes/yards, boats, and pedestals.
- Proactively identify system or service issues and implement effective solutions.
- Investigate and resolve escalated service complaints, ensuring accountability and follow-through.
- Collaborate with Ocean Reef Community Association (ORCA) leadership on policies and protocols related to infrastructure protection and service standards.
- Schedule service appointments, including trouble calls, drops, and Optical Network Unit (ONU)/Optical Network Terminal (ONT) repairs and replacements, etc.
- Provide support for related technology initiatives, including IT and video surveillance projects, as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership and coordination abilities, especially in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with residents, property owners, and service providers.
- Working knowledge of construction practices and infrastructure systems (telecommunications preferred).
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in documentation, reporting, and basic project tracking tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, speak, and hear.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move items up to 50-pounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducationAn Associate’s Degree from an accredited College or University in Construction Management, Architecture or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in construction, telecommunications, IT systems, or project coordination.
- Experience with residential and/or commercial construction projects preferred.
- Experience working with service providers or in a utility/cooperative environment is a plus.
Licenses, Certificates, or Other:Valid Florida Driver's License is required.
