Job Description

United Better Homes is seeking skilled and experienced deck builders to join our growing team. We specialize in custom residential deck construction and are looking for professionals who take pride in craftsmanship and enjoy working outdoors.

If you have a background in carpentry and framing, and can build safe, attractive, and code-compliant decks — we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Construct wood and composite decks (framing, decking, railings, stairs)
Interpret blueprints, layout plans, and project specs
Ensure high-quality craftsmanship and jobsite cleanliness
Collaborate with crew members and project managers
Follow all safety regulations and building codes
Use tools and equipment efficiently and safely

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of deck building or residential carpentry experience
Proficient in using hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret construction plans
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Experience with Trex, TimberTech, or similar composite decking a plus
