Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager Location: White Plains, NY (Candidates are REQUIRED to be local to the Tri-State area) Business Unit: Information Technology Duration: 12-Month Contract Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee diverse technology projects from initiation to closure. This role requires a results-driven professional with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, while adeptly managing stakeholder expectations and fostering a collaborative team environment. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects that align with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Manage all phases of projects, including initiation, planning, implementation, and closure, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Develop comprehensive project plans detailing scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Monitor and execute project activities, maintaining adherence to timelines and budgets. Proactively identify and mitigate risks while resolving issues to maintain project momentum. Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and providing constructive feedback. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing transparent updates and managing expectations. Align project objectives with organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration and effectiveness. Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness. Allocate and optimize resources to achieve efficient project delivery. Implement quality assurance processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes. Conduct project reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Maintain organized project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and post-project evaluations. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure alignment with project specifications and negotiate contracts as needed. Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership and communication skills, fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile) and tools. Thorough understanding of project phases and techniques, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure. Expertise in customer satisfaction management, vendor/consultant management, risk management, and financial management (budgeting, forecasting, and reporting). Ability to manage change effectively, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work atmosphere. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to ensure open communication and effective problem-solving. Proficiency in handling complex communication for internal and external audiences. Familiarity with SDLC and other lifecycle methodologies for deploying infrastructure, networking, and non-software projects. Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is highly desired. Certifications in industry standards (e.g., ITIL) are preferred.
