Job Description

Hours: 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday (overtime hours as needed)Job Summary:The Fabrication Utility in the Laser Bed area is responsible for removing sharp edges, burrs, and excess material from metal parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Responsibilities:Safely lift and carry parts to your workstation, operate a hoist when necessary Use a mallet, hammer, or chisel to free parts from the sheet metal

Inspect metal parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections

Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized deburring equipment to smooth edges and surfaces

Ensure all parts meet quality control specifications and tolerances

Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or technical drawings

Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production deadlines

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including taking cardboard to the assigned disposal area

Additional duties as assigned Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDAbility to work with small tools and handle precision work

Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Ability to lift 50lbsGreat work ethic and attendance

Excellent problem-solving abilities

Flexibility and adaptability

Continuous improvement mindset

Ability to use various computer systems

Willingness to stand for extended periods throughout the shift

Ability to follow all safety protocols and procedures

Willingness to wear PPE and work in a factory environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust and fumes
