Job Description
Fabricator/Welder- EXPERIENCED ONLY. URGENTLY HIRING!!!!
Welding Works is a custom metal fabrication business located in Madison, CT. Benefits:
- First shift - full-time- 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE real-time experience in fabrication and some welding. Three (3) years or more.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand layouts, and the means of manufacture.
- Proficient in set-up and operations of most fabrication equipment: Shears, Press Brake, Angle Rolls, Plate Rolls, Iron Worker, and Saws.
- Strong understanding of Plasma Cutting, Oxy-Acetylene- Torch Cutting, and carbon-Arc gouging.
- Functional knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders in the setup and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds.
- Functional knowledge of welding machine operation, regulating current, and voltage for the proper fusion of metals.
- Good communication skills in English.
Responsibilities:
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Set up and safely operate fabrication and welding equipment.
- May work with or without fixtures with the attention to detail required in blocking, clamping, or holding parts in relative position to avoid distortion.
- Report defective materials, unusual conditions, errors, or operational difficulties to the supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting 1- 50 lbs. (Occasionally 51-100 lbs.).
- Pushing & pulling 1-50 lbs. (Occasionally 51-100 lbs.).
- Repetitive use of hands and feet required (both right & left).
