Join a trusted leader in metal fabrication as a Fabricator in Biddeford, ME, and make an impact every day.As a Fabricator, you'll play a vital role in building high-quality components that meet specifications. Youll work closely with skilled technicians and supervisors to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in every project.What Youll Do As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for:
- Performing TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel, aluminum, cold/mild steel, and tubular steel.*
- Completing layout, fitting, welding, and finishing of metal parts according to customer specifications.*
- Operating fabrication equipment such as rolling machines, stud welders, and overhead cranes.*
- Performing inspections, verifying material types, thicknesses, and dimensions throughout production.*
- Ensuring all safety protocols are followed, including equipment checks and workspace cleanliness.*
- Reading and interpreting blueprints.*
- Measuring and checking parts to maintain tight tolerances and consistent quality.*
- Assisting with other duties as assigned to help achieve our goals.
- High school diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent.*
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications.*
- Understanding of metallurgy, material types, and gauges.*
- Strong math and measuring skills (tape measure, dial caliper, versa gauge, etc.).*
- Ability to layout, fit, weld, and finish with minimal supervision.*
- Certification in welding and overhead crane operation (preferred).*
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to quality workmanship.
