Job Description
Job Summary: The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Chief of Support Services. Facilities Manager works for Health Care Partners of South Carolina, Inc. (HCPSC) making sure that buildings and their services meet the needs of the people that work in them. Facilities / Security Manager is accountable for services such as cleaning, security, and parking, to make sure the surrounding environment is in a suitable condition to work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and coordinates all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
Manages the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meethealth and safety standards.
Inspectsbuildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
Reviews utilities consumption and strive tominimize costs.
Supervises all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) andexternal contractors.
Controls activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, buildingsecurity etc.
Allocates office space according to needs.
Handles service contracts.
Keeps financial and non-financial records.
Requirements:
Proven experience in facilities management and security or relevant positions.
Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Analytical/critical thinking.
