Job Description
Dynamic Aviation is seeking a motivated and hands-on summer intern to support our Facilities Maintenance department while also contributing to innovative projects with senior leadership. This unique opportunity combines facilities operations, construction and real estate exposure, and emerging technology initiatives including AI research, policy development, and agent research/modeling.The ideal candidate is adaptable, technically curious, and comfortable working both in operational environments and on forward-looking technology projects.Responsibilities
Learn assigned department processes and proceduresAssist in processing paperwork and documentation according to established proceduresWork independently or collaboratively under the guidance of department leadershipFollow established safety rules and maintain a safe, clean work environmentOperate power equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, floor scrubbers, and other toolsConduct routine inspections of facility grounds, signage, and equipment labelingSupport general cleaning and upkeep of facilities and groundsPerform mowing, weeding, mulching, and landscaping activitiesOperate zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, and various power toolsAssist with organization and cleanliness of hangar facilitiesSupport general facilities maintenance including painting and minor repairs to windows, doors, floors, drywall, and building structuresPerform basic mechanical activities and minor repair/maintenance of shop tools and equipmentAssist with setup and support for company events as neededAttend and participate in intern programming and company-hosted eventsContribute to AI research, process and policy development, and agent creation research/ initiatives as assignedSupport additional projects involving facilities, construction, real estate, and operational improvement effortsOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current college student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field strongly preferredPolicy development experience preferredExperience with AI tools, agent creation, or AI development strongly preferredAbility to operate power equipment and tools (ex: lawn mowers, power and hand tools)Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt and respond appropriately to changing prioritiesComfortable working both indoors and outdoors in operational environmentsStrong communication and teamwork skillsExceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positionsProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred), and various company software programsAbility to read and understand aircraft parts and maintenance manuals for research purposes; knowledge of aviation terminology a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn new processes and materials quicklyAbility to work productively and efficiently without distraction in a fast-paced atmosphere to achieve deadlinesAbility to adapt/respond appropriately to changing circumstances
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, balance, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete flooringAbility to work in varying environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors, and in extreme heat.
