Job Description
Save More Marketplace is seeking a dedicated Facilities Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for both customers and employees. As a Facilities Custodian, you will be responsible for performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the store remains welcoming and orderly. This role is essential in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and functionality that Save More Marketplace has been known for since 1959.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing of all store areas.
- Maintain restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to ensure they are clean and well stocked.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify and address maintenance or safety issues.
- Manage and replenish cleaning supplies inventory.
- Collaborate with management and other staff to address any custodial or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during cleaning procedures.
Requirements
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a customer-service oriented attitude.
- Physical capability to perform manual cleaning tasks and lift equipment or supplies as necessary.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
