Job Description
Facilities Maintenance Manager
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading and executing all maintenance, repair, and facility-support functions. They will oversee maintenance personnel, coordinate projects, and implement proactive maintenance strategies to support continuous production and minimize downtime
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily maintenance operations for all production equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal unplanned downtime
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and opportunities for operational improvement
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; ensure timely and effective repairs
Read and interpret technical schematics, equipment manuals, diagrams, and engineering drawings to diagnose and resolve issues
Fabricate or modify components when necessary to support repairs or facility improvements
Ensure equipment is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and contamination-free before returning to production
Manage facility and equipment projects from planning through completion, ensuring deadlines, scope, and budgets are met
Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors performing maintenance, service work, or installations
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, inspection reports, and all required documentation
Ensure compliance with all Lockout/Tagout procedures and verify that all personnel follow safety protocols
Collaborate closely with Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and HR to support operational readiness and resolve issues efficiently
Requirements:
5+ years of experience working in a similar manufacturing/production environment; Experience working in a bakery is a plus
Knowledge of various machines used in a production environment
Food Safety/SQF knowledge
Able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Knowledge of schematics, manuals, drawings, etc.
Previous experience training and managing various employees
