Job Description
About the Position:The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and field leadership of maintenance activities and assigned facility improvement projects supporting company properties both outside the Port and, on a routine basis, within the Port of Wilmington. This role provides front-line supervision to technicians and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with departmental priorities.
Essential Responsibilities:Provide daily direction and task coordination for maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure safe and effective execution of work.
Serve as the primary field contact for facilities issues at assigned properties outside the port, while routinely supporting projects and operations inside the port developing project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and material requirements.
Monitor project progress in the field to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
Verify completed work, assist with punch lists, support project closeout documentation, maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and asset information within department systems.
Qualifications:Must have Associate or bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
Must have minimum 3-7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or industrial environments.
Must have experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create, track, and close work orders, manage assets, and support reporting.
Must be able to work flexible schedules with the ability to work extended hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts as required.
