Job Description

Overview:

Serves as the focal point for all facilities related matters including buildings and occupancy, material handling equipment, and vendor management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor key performance indicators and evaluate that material handling equipment is performing according to expectations.
Ensure material handling equipment is maintained and operational at all times.
Ensure robust preventative maintenance system is in place for all material handling and facility equipment.
Coach, counsel, and manage a team of employees.
Plan and oversee all maintenance and repair work and develop an efficient system for dealing with emergency repair problems.
Order and receive supplies and equipment/parts and maintain necessary facility inventories.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and make repairs as appropriate.
Ability to work varying hours and shifts as required to maintain operations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Primary Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and related experience or at least 7-10 years related experience in facilities management.
Preferred courses/certifications include:
- OSHA training/certification.
- Certified Technical Professional (CTP).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft suites.
Knowledge of safety programs including but not limited to; electrical, fire safety, IPE and confined spaces.

Physical Demands:

Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs.
