At Adelante, your work as a Facilities Project Manager goes far beyond construction. What You Will Do:
Lead renovation, repair, and improvement projects across 40+ locations statewide
Plan projects from concept to completion — scope, budget, timeline, and quality
Partner with program leaders to understand what staff and clients truly need
Ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, life-safety, and regulatory standards
Oversee contractors, architects, and vendors with confidence and clarity
Keep projects moving while programs continue operating safely
Track budgets and documentation for grant-funded and public contracts
Support preventive maintenance planning and long-term facility health
Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable solutions when possible
- Perform other required duties
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, facilities management, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing facility, construction, or capital projects in multiâsite environments such as social services, healthcare, education, government, or commercial portfolios
- Experienced in standard construction practices, building systems, and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of New Mexico building electrical and plumbing codes, OSHA safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures

Job Type: Full Time (Exempt)

Other Requirements: Must be pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a valid NM driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance. Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record. Must be able to lift 80 lbs., crawl, climb 20 ft., crouch, kneel, sit and walk occasionally. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulders, balance push/pull, and carry frequently. Must be able to work with paints, dust, cleaning chemicals, and other solvents as required in performance of job duties. Must be able to work in confined spaces.
