Minimum time served requiredJob briefWe are looking for a *Maintenance Apprentice* to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. On the job training available.Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn and be capable of being instructed. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
- Painting, pressure washing, outdoor maintenance.
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
- Install appliances and equipment
- Do garden/yard upkeep, collecting trash etc.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
- Report to the facilities service manager and/or stores leadership staff
Requirements
- Experience using hand tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Physical stamina and dexterity ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
