We work hands‑on with brand new systems, solve real problems every day, and play a direct role in Micron’s historic expansion!

This role is essential to ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient wastewater treatment operations for both new and existing fabs. As a Facilities Wastewater Engineer, you will influence system design, support construction and commissioning, and partner closely with operations to keep complex treatment systems performing at a high level. You’ll collaborate across engineering, construction, and manufacturing teams while helping shape the long‑term sustainability of our Boise operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for design, construction, commissioning, and operation of semiconductor wastewater, reclaim, and zero liquid discharge systems

  • Review and validate designs, calculations, equipment submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and construction models

  • Partner with operations and technicians to monitor system performance using SPC, IoT, and SCADA tools

  • Support system modifications, upgrades, solving problems, and vendor coordination

  • Drive safety, quality, reliability, and cost improvement initiatives across wastewater systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field

  • Three or more years of experience supporting wastewater or industrial treatment systems

  • Working knowledge of safety laws, environmental compliance, and hazardous energy control

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or Professional Engineer certification

  • Three or more years of facilities or plant operations experience in semiconductor manufacturing

  • Experience with commissioning, capacity planning, and system performance optimization

  • Experience working with vendors on equipment design, documentation, and service support

As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
