Job Title: Facility Security- Control Officer (Part-Time)

Reports To: Security Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly, Part-Time Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Facility Security Officer (Part-Time) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property at the SNHU Arena. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all events and activities within the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols throughout the facility and surrounding areas.
• Respond promptly and effectively to all security and safety-related incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
• Adhere to all department performance, conduct, and attendance standards.
• Investigate and document incidents accurately and thoroughly in written reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing arena policies and procedures.
• Follow all instructions from the Security Supervisors, Security Manager, and Director of Security.
• Maintain confidentiality of patron, employee, and company information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of related experience in security, law enforcement, or event operations preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional when interacting with distressed or emotional individuals.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of written and spoken English required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to perform duties both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
• Frequent talking, hearing, and visual attention required.
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency or high-stress situations.
