  • Compensation: $58,926.40/yr
  • Worksite Location: City Center Campus
  • *Position expected to begin on or after July 1, 2026

Overview / Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Electric Power Generation Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction in diagnostic, repair, and maintenance practices for power generation systems. This 12-month faculty position is responsible for classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction aligned with industry standards, workforce needs, and student success outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and deliver instructional content focused on electrical power generation, maintenance, and repair, specifically on Caterpillar technology.
  • Conduct classroom and lab sessions including demonstrations and hands-on training with heavy equipment.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum stays current with technological advancements and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.
  • Participate in program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support student success through advising, mentoring, and career guidance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Heavy Equipment Technology, Diesel Technology, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience servicing and repairing generators or similar equipment
  • Strong knowledge of modern electric power generation systems and tools
  • Ability to effectively teach and communicate technical concepts to diverse learners
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and student success
