Job DetailsResponsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and equitable distribution matters.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and agreements.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on their legal rights.
• Negotiate settlements in family law disputes, aiming for the best possible outcome for the client.
• Provide sound legal advice to clients, guiding them through complex family law matters.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, adhering to all professional ethics, duties, and responsibilities.
• Participate in business development activities to attract new clients.
• Counsel clients on their legal options and potential outcomes, ensuring they are well-informed throughout the process.
• Manage cases with all staff involved, including paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Charlotte.
• 5+ years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, child support, and equitable distribution.
• Proven experience in courtroom litigation, with a strong presence and the ability to effectively present arguments.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive pleadings and motions.
• Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful settlements.
• Experience in mediation and other forms of dispute resolution.
• Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining a high level of client service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in case management software and other legal technologies.
• Ability to provide sound legal advice and counsel to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
