Family Practice Physician With Obstetrics

Position Overview:

Palo Alto County Health System (PACHS) is seeking a dedicated BC/BE Family Practice Physician with Obstetrics (seeking C-section trained) to join our practice. This opportunity involves working with a team of 3 physicians and 6 non-physician providers, delivering exceptional care to our community. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive family practice care with obstetrics, including C-sections.
• Admit patients to PACHS's 25-bed critical access rural hospital.
• Participate in a call schedule of 1:6 weekdays; weekends covered by contract service.
• Collaborate with specialty clinics in ENT, Cardiology, Gynecology, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Surgery, and Urology.
• Utilize advanced imaging services including CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine Mobile Unit, Vascular Studies, and Bone Densitometry.
• Maintain accurate patient records using integrated system-wide electronic medical records, telemedicine, and teleradiology.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and adhere to healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible.
• Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Above average communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
