Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and community-oriented Farm, Crop and Commercial Insurance Associate to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for someone with a strong farm background who enjoys working with people, can manage deadlines, and is comfortable conducting one-on-one client meetings. The role involves both in-office work and travel to visit farms and meet clients at their place of business.
Salary Range: $50000.00 - $60000.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with local farmers. commercial and agricultural clients
- Conduct one-on-one meetings to assess client insurance needs
- Educate clients on farm, commercial and crop insurance options and policy coverage
- Process applications, policy changes, and claims support
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely policy servicing
- Travel locally to meet with clients (must have reliable transportation)
- Stay up to date on industry trends and insurance products
- Strong farm background: farming experience is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet hard and fast deadlines
- Must reside in Livingston County, IL
- Must obtain a Property & Casualty License within 90 days of hire (paid by employer)
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, Microsoft Office, data entry)
- Prior experience in insurance, sales, or farm-related industries is a plus
