Job Description

Director of Construction - Federal Construction

Our client, a federal construction contractor, is seeking a Director of Construction to provide executive leadership over its construction operations from its Kansas City, KS office.

Position Overview:

Provide executive-level oversight of all construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Lead and oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel.
Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, owners, and government representatives.
Drive accountability, operational efficiency, and overall project performance.

Ideal Candidate Background:

Extensive construction leadership and operations experience, preferably within federal/government construction.
Strong background managing multiple projects, teams, budgets, and schedules.
Experience overseeing USACE, Air Force, or DoD projects is highly desirable.
Familiarity with federal contracting requirements and USACE RMS is valuable.
Proven ability to lead PMs, Superintendents, and field operations.

Compensation:

Base salary: $180,000
Performance bonus of up to 25% of base salary
Potential total cash compensation of $225,000
