Job Details

We are seeking a Federal Construction Project Manager with experience delivering complex government construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing projects throughout the entire lifecycle, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, client communication, quality control, safety compliance, and project closeout.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing federal construction projects and be comfortable leading multiple projects simultaneously while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Manage federal construction projects from pursuit and award through final completionDevelop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecastsLead project planning, coordination, and execution effortsOversee subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administrationManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentationConduct project meetings and provide regular owner updatesEnsure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety programsCoordinate project logistics and resource planningMonitor project financial performance and profitabilityPrepare monthly project reports, cost analyses, and schedule updatesSupport proposal development and preconstruction activities as neededBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholdersManage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining schedule and budget objectives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of construction project management experience5+ years managing federal construction projectsExperience managing projects valued at $8M or greaterStrong understanding of federal construction contracting and project deliveryExperience with agencies such as: USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, Department of Defense, Department of the Interior, etc.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administrationAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents

Preferred

Design-Build project experienceIDIQ, MATOC, or task order contract experienceProposal development experienceFederal renovation and rehabilitation projectsExperience supporting business development efforts

Certifications

OSHA 30-Hour CertificationUSACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) CertificationTechnical Skills

Experience with:

Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6Microsoft Office SuiteBluebeamAdobe Acrobat

Travel

Periodic travel is required for project meetings, site visits, progress reviews, inspections, and client engagements.

Work Environment

This position operates in both office and active construction environments. Site visits may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, elevated work areas, uneven terrain, and active construction operations. Appropriate PPE will be required when visiting project sites.
