Job Description

Ready to put your project management skills to work on meaningful government construction along the Front Range? An established federal general contractor is hiring a Federal Project Manager in Colorado Springs to lead military and government building projects from kickoff to closeout. You'll own the full project, build strong relationships with the government owner and your field team, and grow with a company that has a steady flow of federal work.

What You'll Do

  • Take full ownership of your projects, including cost, schedule, quality, safety and client relationships
  • Keep submittals, RFIs, change orders and contract documents moving in line with USACE and NAVFAC requirements
  • Build and maintain Primavera P6 schedules and hold the team to key milestones
  • Lead buyout, subcontractor management, cost tracking and monthly forecasts
  • Partner closely with your superintendent, quality control manager and safety officer to keep work on track in the field
  • Mentor assistant project managers and project engineers on your team
  • Manage punch lists, closeout documents and turnover so each project wraps up cleanly

What You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field with 3+ years of project management experience, or 5+ years of construction project management experience without a related degree
  • Background on federal, military or government construction, ideally with USACE or NAVFAC
  • Working knowledge of FAR clauses, federal submittal procedures and RMS/QCS
  • OSHA 10 required; CQM-C certification and EM 385-1-1 experience are strongly preferred
  • Confidence with Primavera P6, Excel and project management software
  • Strong communication, sharp organization and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach

What We Offer

  • Estimated pay of $115,000–$155,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus
  • Health and dental insurance, plus company-paid life and long-term disability coverage
  • Paid vacation and holidays and a 401(k)
  • Relocation assistance for the right candidate
  • A healthy backlog of federal projects and a leadership team that supports your growth
