Lead Complex Federal & Municipal Projects with a Growing General ContractorJoin one of the nation's leading general contractors with a strong public sector.About Our ClientOur client is a veteran-owned general contractor with a strong reputation in the federal and public construction markets. With an expanding backlog of awarded projects and a healthy pipeline of upcoming opportunities across the Midwest, they are looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high-profile government and municipal projects from preconstruction through closeout. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside executive leadership in a highly collaborative environment where your expertise is valued, your voice is heard, and your career can continue to grow.Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple federal, municipal, and public-sector construction projects while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, consultants, and project teams. Responsibilities include:Lead all phases of construction for federal, municipal, and public-sector projects from preconstruction through final completion

Maintain ownership of project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and financial performance

Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, municipal owners, and project stakeholders

Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

Identify project risks early and implement strategies to keep projects on track

Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams while fostering collaboration across field and office operations

Conduct regular client meetings and site visits throughout the duration of each project

Demonstrated success managing federal, municipal, or public-sector construction projects

Experience working directly with government agencies, municipalities, or other public owners

Strong financial management skills with experience overseeing project budgets, forecasting, and cost control

Excellent client-facing communication and leadership abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects while building lasting client relationships

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
