The Federal Work Study Administrative Assistant for Schools of Entertainment will support the general daily operations for the Schools of Entertainment Department with basic administrative functions. They will also serve to assist students with questions, class locations, and other inquiries they may have.
This Federal Work Study position will support current students by providing opportunities for students to become acquainted with the department staff, building, and upcoming events. In addition, this position will complement and reinforce a Federal Work Study student’s educational program or vocational goals by providing opportunities for the Administrative Assistant to learn customer service skills and learn basic administrative skills.
Qualifications:
Have successfully completed at least a semester of classes
One year of professional customer service experience.
Possess excellent verbal communication skills.
Have a friendly and professional demeanor.
Be team-oriented and solutions-oriented.
Anticipate needs of others and take measures to provide effective support.
Time management skills are necessary. Be able to demonstrate a sense of urgency with important matters.
Possess basic computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Reports to: Nes Cagdir
Pay Rate: $19.18 per hour or approved rate for specific position

Work Schedule: Up to 20 hours/week*
Federal Work Study work schedules may not conflict with the student's class schedule.
Length of Employment: The student's starting term at the Academy of Art University through graduation.
