Position Summary

The Fertilizer Technician is responsible for applying lawn care treatments safely and effectively while delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is detail-oriented, dependable, and driven to succeed in a performance-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and prepared for each scheduled workday
• Apply fertilizer, weed control, and pesticide treatments according to company standards
• Monitor lawns for signs of weeds, insects, and disease; recommend appropriate treatments
• Read, interpret, and strictly follow pesticide labels, mix rates, and safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate application records and service documentation
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding services performed
• Load, transport, and maintain all materials and equipment required for daily routes
• Safely operate application equipment, including backpack sprayers and blowers
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and work environment
• Comply with all federal, state, and local pesticide regulations and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Valid Missouri driver's license with a clean driving record
• Missouri Commercial Applicator's License preferred (training provided for qualified candidates)
• Ability to read, understand, and apply pesticide labels and regulatory requirements
• Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds regularly
• Ability to carry a backpack sprayer and operate equipment for extended periods
• Ability to stand and work outdoors for 8+ hours per day in varying weather conditions
• Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check
• Lawn and landscape industry experience preferred but not required

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time or Part-time, non-exempt position
