Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech) for a 13-week contract assignment in Grand Island, NE. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and available

• Assist surgeons and RNs during surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field

• Handle specimens, surgical instruments, and equipment responsibly and accurately

• Ensure proper patient positioning and draping techniques

• Monitor and maintain sterile technique and safety throughout procedures

• Perform post-operative clean-up and instrument sterilization

• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

• Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience

• Current BLS certification (AHA required)

• Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
