Job Description

About the Role 

Albireo Energy is hiring Field Automation Engineer I &II's to independently execute BAS and EPMS programming, integration, and commissioning on data center construction projects. You'll develop control logic, build SCADA dashboards, lead system startup, and mentor junior team members — all on some of the most technically demanding projects in the industry.

What You'll Do 

  • Develop and modify BAS control logic for HVAC, electrical, and process systems. 
  • Configure Rockwell PLC monitoring logic for EPMS scope including UPS, generators, and power distribution. 
  • Build and configure Ignition SCADA dashboards and graphics. 
  • Lead system startup activities for assigned project scope. 
  • Perform and document functional testing and commissioning results. 
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, commissioning agents, and project managers. 
  • Mentor Field Automation Engineer I and Specialist personnel.

Requirements

What You'll Bring 

  • 0–4 years of BAS, EPMS, or automation engineering experience on construction projects. 
  • Proficiency in BAS programming on at least one major platform (Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Siemens, or equivalent). 
  • Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix or CompactLogix PLC configuration. 
  • Familiarity with Ignition SCADA or equivalent HMI/SCADA platform. 
  • Strong understanding of BACnet IP/MSTP, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, and SNMP protocols. 
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics. 
  • OSHA-10 required; OSHA-30 preferred. 

Pay Rate: $60k-$95k DOE
