Overview
Job Description
- Install, configure, test, and maintain CCTV, IP video surveillance, and electronic access control systems for CYP facilities.
- Perform hands-on setup and troubleshooting of IP cameras, VMS software, access control panels, card readers, and related network equipment.
- Assist with camera placement, field of view verification, cable terminations, and system commissioning.
- Diagnose and resolve video, network, and access control system issues to ensure continuous system availability.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive and emergency maintenance, and system upgrades for CCTV and IP video systems.
- Support lifecycle sustainment activities, including equipment replacement and technology refresh.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration records, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate directly with vendors, installers, and facility staff during installations and repairs.
- Ensure systems meet applicable DoD, CYP, and physical security requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- 3 years of professional experience with design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing/integration of electrical and electronic equipment, to include: Systems/Equipment Support, and Test and Evaluation support of C4ISR or similar requirements.
- A Master's degree and/or a PhD can be credited as additional years of experience.
- Genetec Security Center 5.x Omnicast technical certification (or higher) is required.
- Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Active Security Clearance is not required but is a plus.
- Experience with reading CAD designs, technical writing, and Virtual Machine (VM) configurations.
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols , VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs for secure remote access.
- Strong communication skills with team members and senior government or company leaders.
