Job Description:
Pay: $42-$45 an hour
Summary:
- Responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment.
- Work with mid-size construction equipment such as generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards and arrow boards as well as others to inspect, repair and maintain the equipment.
- Ensure the machines continue to run safely at optimum efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance on midsize equipment, including aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards and arrow boards.
- Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment.
- Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.
- Write and complete service reports.
- Participate in company training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience and Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Valid CDL driver’s license preferred
- Basic welding skills desired
- Crane knowledge a plus
- Desire to take on new challenges
- Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
