Join Our Team of HVAC Service Pros Today!

Do you value professionalism and punctuality? Do you want to work with the best pros in the HVAC industry? If you are an individual who values a rewarding career and providing amazing customer experiences, you may be a match for our team. Opportunities for professional technicians and customer service professionals are now available across the country.

JOB SUMMARY

The Field Operations Manager supports daily field operations by overseeing advanced service, repair, maintenance, and installation on residential HVAC systems while leading and developing the technician team. This role is the primary field lead - ensuring high-quality workmanship, a strong customer experience, and smooth coordination between technicians, dispatch, and management - and also serves as a trusted business partner to ownership and the General Manager in growing the business. You'll step in on escalations, set the standard for the crew, and help shape how we run.

As a lead here, you won't be stepping into a rigid, corporate environment - you'll be joining a growing, founder-led operation where your voice actually shapes how we work. We're building this business from the ground up, and the people who join early will help define our standards, our culture, and the way we serve the Cumberland, Vinings, and Chastain Park community. It's a startup environment backed by the stability, systems, and national brand recognition of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning - the best of both worlds for someone who wants to grow, lead, and be part of something from day one.

A Georgia Conditioned Air Contractor (master / Class II Unrestricted) license is not required, but it's a strong plus - candidates who hold one can serve as our license qualifier and earn higher compensation.

JOB DUTIES

  • Performs advanced diagnostics, service, repair, maintenance, and installation on residential HVAC systems
  • Leads, mentors, and supports HVAC technicians in the field; provides guidance on technical issues, job quality, and customer communication
  • Acts as the field point-person for daily operations, coordinating with dispatch and management to ensure efficient scheduling and job completion
  • Handles complex or escalated service calls and provides on-site problem resolution
  • Reviews job quality, workmanship, and safety practices; ensures adherence to company, code, and manufacturer standards
  • Recruits, onboards, trains, and evaluates new technicians; supports career progression (apprentice → journeyman → senior / lead)
  • Partners with ownership and the General Manager as a trusted advisor - tracking KPIs (revenue, gross margin, technician productivity, average ticket, close rates, callbacks, CSAT) and helping refine pricing, membership programs, and operational workflow
  • Reviews job-costing and P&L data to spot margin opportunities and improve profitability
  • Ensures company vehicles are properly stocked, maintained, and presentable; oversees inventory and equipment readiness
  • Promotes a safety-first culture and models safe work practices at all times
  • Supports permitting, inspections, and code compliance (EPA/refrigerant and Georgia code)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of successful residential HVAC service experience, including 3-5 years leading or mentoring technicians
  • Strong diagnostic skills and technical competence
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and business acumen - able to connect field performance to profitability
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
  • NATE certification preferred
  • Comfort with field service software (CRM, dispatch, job-costing) and KPI/financial reporting
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Clean driving record
  • Professional, reliable, and able to represent the company with integrity
  • Strongly preferred (higher pay): Georgia Conditioned Air Contractor license, Class II (Unrestricted) - the "master" level. Not required, but holders can serve as our qualifier and are offered higher compensation
