Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Field Operations Team Lead to support construction technology projects in the Abilene area.

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines field operations, team coordination, scheduling, equipment management, and data collection. You will work directly at active construction sites while helping coordinate a team of field technicians and ensuring projects remain properly staffed, organized, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day field operations, working independently, and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects moving.

What You'll Do

• Perform hands-on video and data capture at active construction sites.

• Coordinate daily activities and schedules for field technicians.

• Ensure project sites have appropriate staffing and coverage.

• Step in to provide field coverage when another technician is unavailable.

• Monitor upcoming project needs and identify potential scheduling or staffing gaps.

• Maintain and track equipment inventory and device assignments.

• Help onboard new technicians and provide guidance on procedures and expectations.

• Coordinate site access, system credentials, and other operational requirements.

• Assist with time tracking and ensure hours worked are accurately recorded.

• Review completed capture work for quality and consistency.

• Identify and communicate operational, logistical, or safety concerns.

• Maintain compliance with site-specific safety procedures.

• Serve as a key point of communication between field technicians, site personnel, and project teams.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in field operations, construction, project coordination, team leadership, or a similar environment.

• Experience coordinating or leading field-based employees or contractors is preferred.

• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to manage changing priorities and solve problems quickly.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable learning and using new technology, software, and mobile devices.

• Willing and able to work at active construction sites.

• Ability to follow established safety requirements and procedures.

• Willingness to travel to other active project sites when coverage is needed.

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

You may be a great fit if you have experience as a Field Operations Lead, Field Supervisor, Construction Coordinator, Site Coordinator, Operations Lead, Field Technician Lead, or Assistant Project Coordinator.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to be hands-on. This role requires both leadership and fieldwork—you'll coordinate the operation while also stepping in and completing project work yourself when necessary.

Compensation

$40.00 per hour

This is a full-time, 1-year contract opportunity based on-site in Abilene, TX.
