FIELD SERVICE/ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN
HireCall is seeking a Field Service/Assembly Technician for one of our valued clients. This position is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience repairing, maintaining, assembling, and servicing machinery and equipment.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: Based on experienceSchedule: Full-timeTravel: Up to 40% of the time to customer job sitesShop Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday OT as needed
Job Responsibilities
- Perform equipment service and maintenance, new equipment assembly, and equipment setup for customer orders.
- Travel to customer job locations to perform service and provide technical support.
- Document and report site visits and other service-related communications.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including:
- Forklifts
- Overhead cranes
- Scissor lifts
- Impact drills
- Grinders
- Hand tools
- Clamps, hammers, screwdrivers, and other shop tools
- Assemble, repair, and modify parts and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow established work steps, procedures, and equipment setup instructions.
- Read and interpret technical documents, diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete assigned projects.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Complete projects and other assignments as directed by management.
- Follow all company and industry safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience repairing and maintaining machinery or equipment.
- Experience with 480 volt 3 phase
- Experience with Hydraulics/Pneumatics
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently when needed.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using machinery, tools, and computers.
- Must have a suitable driving record as determined through an MVR and insurance requirements.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time to customer locations.
Working Conditions
This position works in a typical manufacturing environment and involves hands-on assembly, equipment service, maintenance, and repair. The position requires standing, walking, lifting, and working with various tools and equipment. Travel to customer locations is required.
