Field Service & Technical Inspection Technician Setting/Hours: In Field| Full-timeJoin trak group in partnering with a growing client in Erlanger, Kentucky that’s expanding its Manufacturing team.  Position SummaryWe are seeking a Field Service Technician to provide technical service, equipment support, and customer training for industrial resistance welding equipment. This role combines hands-on field service with in-house equipment inspection, testing, assembly, and repair. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while supporting manufacturing operations. Key ResponsibilitiesField Service & Customer Support
  • Travel to customer facilities to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain industrial equipment.
  • Perform equipment start-ups and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Diagnose mechanical and technical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Represent the company professionally while building strong customer relationships.
  • Document service activities and communicate recommendations to customers and internal teams.
Equipment Inspection & Technical Support
  • Perform final inspections on resistance welding equipment and components.
  • Test equipment to verify quality, functionality, and performance standards.
  • Rebuild and repair returned customer equipment and assemblies.
  • Diagnose failures and recommend corrective actions for returned products.
  • Assist with the assembly of new equipment and production support activities.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, to verify product quality.
  • Support manufacturing and technical operations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical equipment issues and independently develop solutions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customer installations and service.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience servicing, repairing, assembling, or troubleshooting industrial or mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Exposure to electrical troubleshooting, industrial controls, or PLCs.
  • Technical school education or experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, automotive repair, military maintenance, or a related technical field.
Travel Requirements
  • Domestic travel ranging from approximately 5% to 40%, depending on business needs.
  • Most travel consists of day trips with occasional overnight travel.
  • Occasional international travel opportunities may be available.
  • Weekend travel is uncommon.
  • Company-issued cell phone provided.
  • All business travel expenses paid by the company.
