Job Description
Field Service Technician – Industrial Woodworking MachineryCompany: Felder Group USALocation: New Castle, DESchedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (occasional weekends as needed) | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (field hours may vary)Work Type: In-office and field-basedCompensationHourly pay starting at $25/hr, with higher compensation available based on experience and technical background.Additional earning potential through:

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial woodworking machinery at customer sites (residential and commercial)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational machine issues independently
- Document service work, parts usage, and findings accurately and promptly
- Communicate service needs, parts requirements, and job status to customers and internal teams
- Recommend appropriate spare parts and service solutions as needed
- Participate in trade shows and customer-facing technical events
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and video
- Support machine demonstrations with sales representatives
- Assist with showroom and warehouse setup, machine preparation, and equipment service
- Support general organization and upkeep of shop and showroom areas
- Coordinate with Service Planners regarding scheduling, travel, and service assignments
- Experience in field service, mechanical repair, electrical systems, or technical support
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in field environments
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer proficiency (email, Microsoft Office, service systems)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physical environments
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
- Experience with woodworking machinery, CNC equipment, or industrial machinery service
- Familiarity with service ticketing or helpdesk systems
- Experience recommending or selling replacement parts
- Electro-mechanical or industrial maintenance background
