About the Opportunity
An organization is seeking a Construction As-Built Sketcher to support gas utility construction projects by producing accurate as-built drawings and field documentation. This role involves visiting project sites, documenting final construction conditions, and supporting project closeout deliverables. The ideal candidate has experience in construction drafting, CAD documentation, or utility design and strong attention to detail.
Job Duties
• Travel to multiple construction project sites to collect field measurements and observations.• Develop accurate as-built drawings reflecting final construction conditions and modifications.• Utilize MicroStation or similar CAD software to produce sketches and documentation.• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to verify dimensions and details.• Maintain and update drawing files to reflect current project conditions.• Ensure drawings comply with client standards and project requirements.• Support project closeout documentation and final deliverables.
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of experience in construction drafting, as-built documentation, utility design, GIS, or related field.• Experience using MicroStation or similar CAD software.• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction plans.• Familiarity with active construction environments and field measurements.• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) preferred.• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
