Job DetailsOur leading-edge engineering firm is looking for a seasoned Security Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems, network components, and workstations. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to work on exciting projects in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain large-scale integrated security systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Troubleshoot and repair system and network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring the continued operation of security systems.
• Implement IP addressing and subnetting strategies to optimize network performance and security.
• Design and manage IP video network transmission systems, ensuring high-quality video transmission and reception.
• Regularly inspect and test security systems, identifying and addressing potential weaknesses or vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security strategies, ensuring the protection of company assets and data.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to existing systems and processes as necessary.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and clients, explaining complex security systems and processes in a clear and understandable manner.
• Comply with all relevant safety and regulatory standards, ensuring the safe and legal operation of all security systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• * 1+ year of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
• * Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management
• * Must be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
• * Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
• * Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• * High school diploma
• * 3+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
• * Massachusetts Class D Electrical License
• * Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
