As a Field Technician I, you'll begin developing the core skills and knowledge needed to ensure the safe and reliable operation of pipeline equipment. This entry-level role focuses on learning and applying safety procedures, performing basic maintenance and repair tasks, and supporting operational needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. What You Will Do:

  • Understand and adhere to all safety procedures and code requirements.

  • Consistently work in a safe, responsible manner and actively participate in safety-related programs.

  • Perform work in compliance with company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies.

  • Actively participate as a work group team member and maintain a cooperative work relationship with fellow employees.

  • Complete paperwork and reports related to equipment maintenance accurately and completely.

  • Respond to equipment malfunction, physical damage, fire, vandalism, and/or threats to accurately handle emergency situations to safeguard life and property.

  • Implement all lock out/tag out procedures as they apply to the job functions to ensure personnel safety.

  • Complete reports accurately and thoroughly and possess a functional understanding of relevant local filing systems as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Hold a valid driver's license..

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Able to work and contribute in a team setting where inclusiveness, integrity, honesty, and openness are appreciated.

  • Proven ability to drive and perform job duties safely.

  • Relevant experience supporting Field Operations, Maintenance, and related project activities is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions for training, meetings, and documentation of required tasks dictated by the Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.

  • Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, on call & standby, and travel overnight as required.

  • Currently resides or is willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $27.75 - $35.00 USD per hour, for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone
