Job Description
Finance and Accounting Billing ClerkPay Rate: $13.00/hour
Position Summary:The Billing Clerk is responsible for processing billing activities related to foreign carriers, government shipments, and storage charges. This role ensures accurate and timely billing, supports driver compensation processes, and maintains proper documentation for all transactions.
Duties:
- Ensure lease drivers and owner operators are paid accurately and on time
- Collaborate with service centers and dispatchers to ensure all required documents are received, scanned, and processed promptly
- Resolve issues related to billing, driver pay, and shipment data entry across systems to ensure accurate revenue and payroll calculations
- Process all military LHS billing for government and foreign carriers
- Verify hauling paperwork for proper signatures and documentation of additional services
- Audit weight tickets and confirm that hauling data is accurately entered into all required systems to ensure proper shipment rating
- Review end-of-day billing reports for accuracy before transmitting and posting
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with internal software systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate a 10-key calculator
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
