- * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- * Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- * Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations.
- * Approve journal entries and financial adjustments.
- * Maintain GAAP-compliant accounting records.
- * Oversee fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and asset tracking.
- * Ensure financial accuracy across multiple departments and locations.
- * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
- * Lead the annual budgeting process with executive leadership and department managers.
- * Monitor budgets and prepare budget-to-actual variance reports.
- * Support revenue forecasting, expense planning, and cash flow projections.
- * Analyze financial trends and provide strategic recommendations.
- * Develop dashboards and reports to support operational decision-making.
- * Monitor financial performance across programs, departments, and locations.
- * Monitor organizational cash flow and forecasting activities.
- * Oversee receivables, payables, and funding cycles.
- * Coordinate banking relationships and account reconciliations.
- * Assist with capital planning and major expenditures.
- * Ensure spending aligns with approved budgets and funding requirements.
- * Coordinate annual financial audits with external auditors.
- * Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- * Assist with implementing audit recommendations.
- * Support preparation of required tax filings, including nonprofit reporting where applicable.
- * Ensure compliance with GAAP, funding requirements, contracts, and applicable regulations.
- * Maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- * Protect organizational assets through sound financial oversight.
- * Monitor grant, contract, and restricted funding activities.
- * Ensure proper allocation of revenues and expenditures.
- * Support grant budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- * Partner with operational leaders to provide financial guidance.
- * Monitor allowable costs and funding utilization.
- * Maintain and optimize accounting software and reporting systems.
- * Standardize accounting processes across locations.
- * Improve workflows, documentation, and reporting practices.

- * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- * Five or more years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- * Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- * Experience with audit coordination, compliance reporting, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- * Experience overseeing multi-department or multi-location financial operations.
- * Prior leadership experience supervising or mentoring accounting or finance staff.
- * Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- * Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- * Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- * Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- * CPA designation or progress toward certification.
- * Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, human services, or government-funded environments.
- * Knowledge of fund accounting and restricted funding management.
- * Experience with grant accounting, government contracts, and compliance reporting.
- * Experience supporting annual audits and preparing audit documentation.
- * Familiarity with nonprofit tax reporting, including Form 990.
- * Experience managing financial operations across multiple programs or locations.
- * Proven success implementing accounting systems, improving financial reporting processes, and strengthening internal controls.
