Job Description

Finance & Accounting Manager

Location: Southfield, MI

Position Type: Full-Time, Corporate Leadership

The Opportunity

Are you a numbers-driven professional with a taste for the tropical? We are one of the fastest-growing fast-casual brands in the country, and we are looking for a strategic Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee the financial health and reporting for our Southfield operations.

This is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between daily unit-level transactions and high-level corporate strategy. If you are looking for a seat at the table where your insights directly impact growth and profitability, this is the place for you.

The Role

As the Finance & Accounting Manager, you will lead the financial functions for our multi-unit footprint. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting, optimizing cash flow, and providing the leadership team with the data-driven insights needed to scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight: Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and annual budgets.
  • Cost Control: Analyze store-level P&Ls to identify variances in labor and food costs, providing actionable recommendations to operations leaders.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Cash Management: Monitor daily cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee payroll processing for the Southfield market.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the executive team with financial modeling for new location acquisitions or market expansions.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience: 5+ years of combined accounting and finance experience, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA is a major plus).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Modeling) and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, or specialized restaurant POS/Back-office integrations).
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex financial data into simple, actionable insights for non-financial managers.
  • Precision: An uncompromising eye for detail and a commitment to deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 per year (depending on experience).
  • Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus structure.
  • Benefits: Premium Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
  • Future: 401(k) with company match.
  • Work-Life: Paid time off, holiday pay, and a vibrant, supportive corporate culture.
