Role Scope

This role is aligned with the Logistics & Services (L&S) Asset Partnerships team, which focuses on the procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle management of large-scale L&S assets. The team is responsible for sourcing and managing:

  • Industrial Real Estate - new builds, expansions, leases, and site maintenance

  • Asset Optimisation Analysis: Assess asset performance across utilisation, efficiency, and return metrics (ROIC, TCO, NPV) to identify opportunities for value improvement, redeployment, or divestment.

  • Investment & Divestment Support: Provide financial insight on asset transactions, quantifying the impact on cashflow, P&L, and capital efficiency.

  • Business Case Validation: Challenge financial and operational assumptions, ensure scenario alignment with LSAP strategy, and confirm cases are robust, defensible, and value accretive.

Commercial Execution & Governance

  • Asset Right Playbook Development: Define financial guidelines and structuring principles for asset procurement, ensuring consistent, value-driven decisions balancing cost, flexibility, and risk.

  • Deal Structuring & Commercial Alignment: Support commercial negotiations by reviewing financial terms, lease structures, and vendor economics to enable value-optimised outcomes.

  • Post-Deal Governance: Ensure that approved investment and lease terms are correctly reflected in financial systems and reported to key stakeholders.

Reporting & Ad-hoc Analysis

  • Prepare recurring management reports and dashboards summarising CAPEX, asset utilisation, return metrics, and investment pipeline.

  • Support consolidation and presentation of LSAP financials for monthly performance reviews (MPRs), forecasts, and ad-hoc analysis.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting tools, templates, and investment governance processes.

  • Undertake ad-hoc deep-dives and financial analysis on strategic priorities or performance issues as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7-10 years' experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, FP&A, or business partnering roles, ideally within asset-intensive industries (logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, or transport).

  • Strong financial modelling skills (Excel, Power BI).

  • Solid understanding of investment appraisal techniques (NPV, IRR, ROIC, TCO) and capital structuring principles.

  • Experience with IFRS accounting for assets and leases preferred.

  • Confident communicator able to translate financial insights into clear business recommendations.
