Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: The Finance Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing timesheets, reconciling financial transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Finance Coordinator ensures compliance with financial policies and funding requirements while assisting with financial reporting and administrative duties.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices.
  • Maintain organized records of purchase orders and match them with vendor invoices.
  • Become familiar with allowable and unallowable costs for the various programs operated by CKCAC and learn flexibility rules.
  • Receipt checks for deposit.
  • Responsible for calculation and payment of all employee travel reimbursements.
  • Prepare, batch, and process payment vouchers.
  • Batch and enter data for cash receipts.
  • Maintain accounts receivable records, track outstanding balances, and ensure timely collections and report balances to the Finance Director.
  • Review and verify employee timesheets for accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Prepare timesheets for payroll processing, ensuring proper approvals and documentation.
  • Process volunteer travel reimbursements, stipends, and payments.
  • Assist with preparing financial reports, as required.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Scan, file, and archive financial documents as required.
  • Purge old financial files as required.
  • Assist with the purchase of office and janitorial supplies.
  • Conduct periodic inventory checks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 years’ experience in record keeping and general office work.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to keep complex records and make reports.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., sit for long periods of time, and bend/squat to file.
  • Background check/drug screen required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
