The Senior Finance Manager - Fuels will have broad responsibilities for the financials that drive the success of our Nuclear Fuels value stream. The Senior Finance Manager will partner with the Finance Leader – Fuels and Services to deliver on the business growth strategies. In this role you will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs and processes for an area or business segment. Also, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Senior Finance Manager – Fuels you will:
- Serve as a business partner to the Finance Leader – Fuels and Services to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability.
- Responsible for GNF board of director duties, including but not limited to the oversight of corporate governance, maintaining accurate books and records, and executing official documents as needed.
- Partner with technical / business leaders and staff to drive operating performance.
- Act as champion for cost optimization, productivity and lean.
- Analyze the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as needed.
- Engage with GEH senior leaders and provide finance oversight to the Fuels activities for complex multi-year contracts that support the business.
- Partner closely with senior leadership team to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Develop financial models to forecast Contract Margin Reviews (CMR) impact.
- Partner with Finance leadership to design and deploy a scalable and repeatable process to advance Nuclear Fuels operations globally.
- Closely monitor and report variances of Fuels projects to budget and pricing assumptions
- Partner with other businessesand other value streams to understand their tools capabilities and adapt these tools as deemed fit.
- Ensure key processes and controls are in place to support a world class financial operation.
- Recommend and influence needed actions to maximize cash, profitability, and fleet risk management.
- Develop and establish financial policies and procedures.
- Perform internal / external audits and ensure controllership and consistency of accounting process across the operations.
- Drive controllership awareness and processes through operations teams and ensures finance compliance.
- Drive a spirit & letter of excellence in all activities (e.g., adherence to GE policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in financial accounting, financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, or audit
Must be willing to be based at the GE office in Wilmington NC

- Master’s Degree of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited university or college
