Job Description
Sparks Group has partnered with a renowned government transportation contractor to seek a highly skilled and results-oriented Finance Manager of Capital and Reporting. This role involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities, to include partnering with the Capital Budget team to prepare, reconcile, and tie out the Federal Funds Report (FFR), SEFA, and related capital reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Support accounting analysis and reporting related to National Transit Database (NTD) requirements, including preparation and submission of NTD filings.
- Partner with the Capital Budget team to prepare, reconcile, and tie out the Federal Funds Report (FFR), SEFA, and related capital reporting.
- Perform and guide analysis of capital expenditures, including variance analysis across federally, state, locally, and third-party funded projects.
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with established accounting standards and procedures.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations, including review of supporting documentation and resolution of reconciling items.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
- At least 2 years of experience at a manager or equivalent senior level, preferably within public sector or governmental environments.
- Hands-on experience with NTD reporting, capital project accounting, and federal grant reporting (FFR/SEFA).
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and strong experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
