About the RoleThe Financial Operations Analyst III is a senior-level position supporting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, and Contracts, with flexibility to adapt to business needs. This role leads reporting initiatives, mentors team members, and drives cross-functional projects while ensuring compliance with SOPs. Candidates should have 5+ years of accounting experience, strong communication skills, be able to work independently while aligning with team goals, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a growth-oriented mindset. - Assist with Reporting: Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards.
- Financial Controls & Compliance: Review payment requests, assist with vendor setup, and ensure adherence to internal control policies.
- Provide Operational Backup: Step in for accounts payable, receivable, and payroll during peak periods or absences.
- Maintain SOPs & Checklists: Assist in documenting and updating finance-related SOPs; develop checklists for all functional areas.
- Track Metrics & Performance: Assist in creating metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting for finance operations.
- Support Projects & Audits: Help with special projects, prepare audit documentation, and respond to data reporting requests. Assist in implementing and supporting AR automation tools and systems.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with accounting, HR, and operations to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Perform additional accounting or finance-related tasks as needed to support evolving business requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience; cash basis accounting experience strongly desired.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems (Expensify, Salesforce, Accounting Seed, Sage Intacct preferred).
- Familiarity with workflow/project tracking tools (e.g., AirTable) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
