Project Manager, Program Management SAP S/4HANA Business Transformation
Job Summary
The Project Manager, Program Management SAP S/4HANA Business Transformation supports a large-scale, multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation by coordinating a portfolio of initiatives across business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party partners. This role focuses on end-to-end Finance capabilities, including General Ledger (Record-to-Report), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Product Costing, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Financial Consolidations.
Working within the Transformation Management Office (TMO), this individual helps ensure initiatives align with business priorities, follow established governance, remain integrated across workstreams, and are supported by effective business readiness and adoption planning.
This position serves as the bridge between strategy and execution by providing portfolio-level visibility, dependency management, and readiness coordination. The role does not own deployment execution but ensures alignment and coordination across the program.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Planning & Governance
- Maintain the transformation portfolio plan, including business readiness initiatives and SAP-related activities, with a focus on Finance and cross-functional dependencies.
- Support project intake, prioritization, and scope management aligned with overall transformation objectives.
- Ensure initiatives follow established governance processes, stage gates, and decision-making frameworks.
- Develop executive-level reporting materials for steering committee meetings and portfolio reviews.
Business Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business leaders and process owners to define objectives, scope, success metrics, and decision ownership across Finance processes.
- Develop participation plans with business stakeholders, deployment teams, change management, and training leads.
- Track business engagement and identify resource constraints or participation risks.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment when competing priorities or dependencies arise.
SAP & IT Coordination
- Collaborate with SAP, data, and IT teams to align business priorities with technical delivery plans and release schedules.
- Provide visibility into delivery progress, key risks, and dependencies affecting business readiness.
- Promote integration across business processes, data, reporting, and technology initiatives.
Third-Party Partner Coordination
- Coordinate with system integrators and external partners to ensure alignment with program priorities and governance standards.
- Monitor partner deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
- Support issue escalation and reinforce expectations around quality, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Business Readiness & Change Support
- Coordinate enterprise-wide business readiness activities, including planning, milestone tracking, design reviews, testing participation, and training readiness.
- Partner with change management, communications, training, and data teams to align readiness efforts across initiatives.
- Identify and escalate risks related to adoption, timing, or organizational capacity.
Risk, Dependency & Value Management
- Maintain a portfolio-level view of program risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies.
- Support tracking of business outcomes, KPIs, and value realization.
- Drive reporting that focuses on business capabilities and measurable outcomes rather than task completion.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8+ years of project or program management experience.
- 3 5 years supporting SAP ERP (ECC or SAP S/4HANA) transformation programs, with a strong focus on Finance.
- Experience partnering with business leaders, IT organizations, and external implementation partners.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance business processes.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and business readiness activities.
- Hands-on experience supporting Finance functions within an SAP environment, including areas such as:
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Tax
- Treasury
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Product Costing
- Financial Consolidation
