Job Overview

As a Finance Representative with Komatsu Financial, you'll manage a geographic territory and play a key role in helping both customers and dealers stay current, informed, and supported. This position blends collections, customer service, financial analysis, and relationship management; offering excellent exposure across multiple areas of the business.

You'll work directly with end users on past due accounts, partner closely with distributors on wholesale and floorplan financing, and develop strong problem solving and communication skills. This role provides a strong foundation for long term growth within Komatsu Financial and the broader Komatsu North America organization.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, analyzing data, building relationships, and taking ownership of their work.

Key Job Responsibilities

Territory & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary Komatsu Financial contact for an assigned territory, often spanning multiple states and dealerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal partners.
  • Provide professional, responsive, solution oriented support across all communication channels.

Retail Finance (Customer Accounts)

  • Manage a large retail portfolio and follow up on past due installments.
  • Discuss payment challenges directly with customers and recommend solutions such as payment plans, extensions, refinancing, or transfers of equity.
  • Deliver timely, accurate responses to general customer inquiries (balances, contracts, payment history, etc.).
  • Apply sound judgment when navigating difficult collections conversations.

Wholesale Finance (Dealer Accounts)

  • Serve as the main point of contact for distributor wholesale financing and floorplan questions.
  • Monitor dealer account activity, reconcile outstanding balances, and ensure proper payoff of sold units.
  • Conduct on site inventory audits to verify floorplan accuracy and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Prepare clear, accurate audit documentation and work professionally with inventory managers, controllers, credit managers, and CFOs.

Professional Growth

  • Gain exposure to retail financing, wholesale risk, auditing, and cross department business functions.
  • Build a foundation for future roles; most representatives spend 3-5 years developing mastery before advancing into higher level positions across Komatsu.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to learn financing, leasing, and documentation concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills.
